Chris,
These photo's I took this morning. They are of a piece that is nearly ready to ship and is not sold. Rarely, have I had time to have pieces such as this nearly finished. Just too busy creating custom orders to have much time to work on other pieces.
Below is what I refer to as a "flat cut" stump. It may be used with belled section DOWN under a stone top OR bellection UP and a glass top. See more about this, below. More about color and hue, paragraph, left.
The color for this piece could range from the honey amberish of the small "block" trapezoidal table base you see to the left of the stump to the coca brown it is currently. It can be changed..
This piece with the belled section DOWN ( to the floor) as depicted in photo, right could easily serve as the base for a granite of other stone top. A foresty green color of stone would look nice.
Looking down on the longer side ( 36 inches long) , THIS is the undulating or amorphic shape and, if used in this inverted position, the hollowness provide and interesting and totally natural affect to view.
The finish on this piece is not complete. When done, it will have a soft "glow". I was just toying with colors on this piece and there are a few minor imperfections to eliminate, yet.. mike
A closer view. One can see the intricate and unique wood graining of this piece. Please note: the finish is not quite complete. When complete it will have a " soft glow" to it.
Color or hue can also be lightened should the circumstance call for it.
Flat cut Stump table base
One of two I have nearly ship ready.
You may inquire using the form, below. Or call ( 785 ) 658 3548 Ask for Mike. This is our shoppe phone and often it is noisy. Please leave a call back message if need be.
This piece, if inverted
( belled portion UP ) as in this photo (right) would easily support a glass top of - 70 ish inches long by minimum 43 inch wide. Either an Oval or rectanguler shape.
Color - I might suggest a foresty green... This may be a showroom piece.. I do not know.
