This is how I envision the table in sketch format.
Dimensions given - 30 inches tall by 30 diameter top.
This is a photo of what I propose for the top.. Unusually nice shape and 34 by 30 inches across.
And, this for the base. I would plan to cut it at the bottom at about 24 ish inches in diameter. Maybe up to 26..

Natural finish would be this tone. Could be made darker with stains if you wish.
The base would finish out about this tone.. Of the Longview Tx. Table ( more ) and it too may be made darker..

Family room where your table will go... black leather couch and love seat around fireplace with table in between...you can see the pine wood which is just clear coated.

The table stands 29 1/4 inches tall. That is without any support feet of any kind.
The top measures, right to left in the photo, from furtherest point to furthest point 33 1/2 inches and from front to back, 33 inches.
The top has a substrate inlain into the bottom of the top. This, to reinforce the top and prevent movement.
