I wanted a mushroom look as I started this table and, created the top from a 29 inch diameter solid Oak slice of a log. It sets atop a hollowed oak log base. The slice is about 4 inches thick. I selected a spalted log for cutting the top from as I wanted the contrast of color.
The photograph was actually taken as the table was in progress of being finished. When the finish is completed, each coat being hand rubbed, the finish will "glow" and be baby soft to the touch. Variable sizes are available. Contact me at the phone or email listed at bottom of page.
