Fire in the hole!
Things people probably don't want to know.
Yes, that's fire coming out of the bottom of this root stump table. What you are viewing is a root stump base for a large dining table. What is to be the top of the table is facing downward  in the photo.  The bottom of the table has been hollowed out using a chain saw and fire is shooting out of the hollow.  Why? Several reasons;
The heat and smoke created will

1) Assist in the deinfesting ( insect extermination process ) .

2) The heat is a final seasoning or drying of the interior sections of the stumps. This seasoning or removal of moisture, provides the longevity and virtually eliminates the possibilities of internal rot.
