Inverted stump tables
Amorphic shapes
Inverted stump tables ( versus a root table ) are cut during preparation, to a flat wooden top. This type of cut removes most of the roots and exposes beautiful wood graining. It also removes costs associated with detailing of roots. Inverted stump tables range in cost from about $1,600 for a small coffee table ( less glass ) to $2,700 for a dining table capable of supporting up to a 60 inch glass top.
Figured wood graining is exposed during the cutting process of the plain stump. Sometimes I encounter hollow stumps such as the one shown below. These hollow stumps add their own uniqueness to a table.
Since most of our work is custom works, It is not often that we have a chance to prepare stump tables that are available and ship ready. However, we do have two of these hollow log tables, as depicted, below, nearly ready to ship. See below for list of table applications.
